Biography

William E. Sloan is a Michigan attorney whose practice focuses on real estate, estate planning, business, and transactional matters. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, graduating cum laude. He also holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Eastern Michigan University.

Mr. Sloan brings a practical business perspective to his legal practice. In addition to his work as an attorney, he has experience as an entrepreneur, small-business owner, and real estate investor. This background gives him an understanding of the financial, operational, and practical considerations that often shape his clients’ decisions.
 
His estate planning practice includes wills, trusts, powers of attorney, beneficiary planning designed to help individuals and families protect assets and plan for the orderly transfer of property. His broader practice includes real estate acquisitions and sales, commercial leasing, title and property matters, business formation and contracts, zoning and land use, and related disputes. Mr. Sloan represents individuals, families, investors, entrepreneurs, and closely held businesses, with an emphasis on practical advice and solutions tailored to each client’s objectives.
 
Mr. Sloan has spent much of his professional and academic career in Southeast Michigan and values the opportunity to work with the individuals and businesses that make up the region’s communities.
